Transcripts are not typically requested for fellowships, but can be especially as programs are becoming more competitive. These transcripts would not necessarily be deal-breakers for candidates based on GPA, but do help to verify academic institution, work-ethic, etc. If you have a strong resume, and a decent GPA, you should be fine.
Please reach out to your school as soon as possible to request your transcript, because it is around the holidays and universities may be closed. As soon as you come back from midyear, and know the programs you are interested in that are requesting transcripts, place a request with your university.
